I have been taking guitar lessons here for a little over 10 years now and I can safely say I have never left a lesson without learning at least one thing to add to my “toolbox” as a musician. My instructor has an incredible amount of experience and his passion for teaching brought me back to my lesson every single week over the last 10 years. I have since also learned how to play bass, ukulele, and even a bit of banjo due to his contagious passion for music he manages to bring out of each of his students. I was even fortunate enough to become a part of a band with other talented students who took lessons through Learn at Home Music! "I love doing guitar lessons. He teaches using a screen-share feature so we can both be looking at the same thing. He writes things out for me as well as shares music sheets. I pick songs almost weekly and he’ll teach me to play them. My favorites are Taylor Swift songs, and hopefully he isn’t sick of them yet. When I first started my lessons here, I was taking a joint lesson with my grandson. He now plays guitar with his youth group band. I got to watch the instructor's ability to connect with kids and experience his ability to connect with the older generation as well.

- I picked up the guitar in my 40's and I've been taking weekly guitar lessons with Learn at Home Music for nearly 5 years. He's exactly what I wanted in an instructor. We talk about music, learn some music theory, and most importantly, play the songs I want to play. Everything from fingerstyle on Scarborough Fair and Dust in the Wind; rock rhythm and solos; to classic rock and country, we've covered a lot of different genres. He's also really good with developing exercises and scales to help with your practice routine.

- I first began lessons here about 5 years ago. It wasn’t long before the instructor had me progress from simple chords and strumming patterns to learning scales, modes and lead guitar parts. I can now read music and I really enjoy just noodling around with a backing track. I really like the Zoom meeting format. It’s much more convenient and easy to make a part of my weekly routine. I always appreciate how much we pack into a single lesson. “Learning the guitar” is so much more than I expected but I am really enjoying it!
